Congratulations to Chef Rafael Camarillo who launched his little red (lunch) wagon (er, trailer) last week at the Kauai Veterans Center parking lot. Chef Rafael was at the KIF football game Saturday and got a break from food booth duty so he could enjoy watching Justice Camarillo play.
Justin Hier of Porky’s Cart (he was at the drag races Sunday) said he’s happy to have the company of Raf’s Kitchen because not everyone might want kalua pork and hot dogs all the time. Porky’s comes to town on Tuesdays.
Mark Malapit of Garden Isle Disposal (yep, there’s room for trucks to park, too) stopped off for lunch Monday, and mahalo for the am I bleu? burger. Next time, gotta check out Ruby’s Burger, or the Raf Pak.
Kalana Kaohi and the Yamato’s truck is also in town Mondays for lunch at the Kauai Museum (they’ve got Niihau Day this Saturday from 10 a.m.).
OK, time to go check out the final KIF air riflery matches. Kapaa is at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center against Waimea and Kauai hosts the Voyagers.
