Happy Camper for September 2, 2015

Hopefully, this is the right Skye Tadani who was with all those Joyful Noise taiko ensemble Saturday during the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Kukui Grove Center. More taiko performers are on tap for Sept.12 when El Doi joins Kukui Grove Center in hosting the anti-bullying event with Augie T.

Mahalo to Andy Melamed (he’s got a Kauai Lifeguard Association benefit concert coming up, when?) and Ron Wiley on launching the Kauai Interscholastic Federation and Grove Farm KIF highlight of the week (I guess Kurt Napoleon of the Kapaa Warriors was the hands-down winner this week). But Andy said the KIF highlighter of the week is not limited to football, with Wiley announcing the selection on his early week sports show.

Things are going to be hopping on the south side with The Kauai Marathon hosting its concert Friday at the Poipu Athletic Club, and The Shops at Kukuiula hosting Jonathan Rivera and The Greenstone Project during its Flavors of Kukuiula, also on Friday.
