KILAUEA — Motorists and residents are advised that nighttime work will begin Monday on Kuhio Highway between Hookui Road and Kalamania Road. This is to allow Earthworks Pacific Inc. to install a new water main across the highway for the Department of Water’s Kolo Road Main Replacement Project.
One lane of Kuhio Highway will be closed and a single alternating lane will be possible during this time.
Work hours will be from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday, and is anticipated to completed by Aug. 28.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and to proceed with caution through the work area.
