Kapaa grad earns scholarship

HONOLULU — Tarryn Orial, a 2015 Kauai High School graduate who will be attending Menlo College in Atherton, California, was awarded a Fukunaga Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year.

The Fukunaga Scholarship Foundation announced Thursday 12 undergraduate students from Hawaii were selected.

Every year, over $150,000 in undergraduate scholarships is awarded to encourage students in the state of Hawaii to pursue a degree in business administration or a related area.

The four-year scholarships help with the cost of tuition, fees, books, and room and board up to a maximum of $4,000 per year.
