Kudos to Fran McDonald and all those Kukuiula Canoe Club volunteers on coordinating another great Family Fun Run! Nick Galante has a new mirrorless camera (his wife was tops in the walk), and Pat Gegen (Apollo Truong is my new hero!) had his entire carload of people either walking or running.
Over at Keoki’s Paradise, mahalo and kudos to Manetti DeCosta, Derek Kessler and John Poehneldt on another great ukulele contest!
Ron Wiley, BB Choi, Dickie Chang (he got help from Julie Souza) and all the media types were kept on their toes keeping all of the Koloa Plantation Days events flowing. Mahalo to Nalani Brun for all her kokua with the parade and park celebration, and mahalo to Harvey Maeda for the thoughtfulness of making a special trip to make sure there was a parking space (the pasture worked since it didn’t rain this year).
OK, Melissa McFerrin-Warrack, now that Koloa Plantation Days is in the books until next year, it’s on to the Kauai County Farm Bureau Fair (who is Laurie Ho inviting for the opening?).
