Back to School on July 29

July 29 is the day school re-opens. The date generated excitement as at least 1,000 school-aged youth received a bag of school supplies during the Back to School Bash Saturday at the Kukui Grove Center.

The free bags of school supplies were distributed during the resource fair featuring vendors who provided information on a wide variety of subjects which will challenge students during their year on school campuses.

Sponsorship were provided by Kauai’s credit unions, the Kukui Grove Center, the G.N. Wilcox Memorial Hospital, McDonald’s restaurants, King Auto Center, Sign Art Kauai, DuPont Pioneer, No Ka Oi Landscape Services, Dow Agrosciences, Bank of Hawaii, Syngenta Seeds, the Kukuiula Development Co., Walmart, Alexander & Baldwin, Island Image, the Rotary Club of Kapaa, Aloha Kia Motors, Layton Construction and the Pyramid Insurance Centre.

The event was further highlighted by entertainment from the Greenstone Project and a mall-wide back-to-school sale.
