Hole-in-one at Wailua

Mel Mandrigues, Wailua Homesteads resident, shot a hole-in-one at the 17th hole of the Wailua Golf Course on Thursday.

Wielding a Calloway 4 Hybrid, he smacked the ball 173 yards into the cup.

It was Mandrigues’ third time accomplishing the feat in 40 years of playing. It was also his second on the course’s 17th hole.

S. Mandrigues, D. Oshiro, H. Kawaihalau and S. Schaefer were witnesses.
