Mahalo to Mabel Hashisaka and Judi Murakami for the peony (Mabel’s friend sends her these special blooms for Memorial Day) and the lei created by Judi’s mom for Memorial Day.
Kudos to Stu Burley (he had his Dr. Pepper behind the podium) on a great job with the program. Sheridan Hay is blossoming into a real Miss Aloha as she took control of Capt. Bruce Hay’s lei, and Connor Donaher is getting ready for some football (he was No. 88 in the Blue-and-White game) after his great wrestling season with the Waimea High School Menehune. Keegan Donaher is a freshman so we’ll start seeing him around, too.
Pastor Wesley Elmore was taking in as much as he could of the final Memorial Day service (he moves by the end of June after 14 years, here) before being transferred to California. And when did Rev. Doc. Nani Hill retire?
Kudos to Maj. Victor Aguilar, who had his “new” JrROTC group working since his seniors graduate in two days and had already turned in their uniforms.
