How does your garden grow?

LIHUE — Tim Low of Pacific Agriculture Sales said there is a new rat poison which will not affect other animals.

The new vermin control is just one of the latest items shown at the Kawamura Farms home and garden expo which was billed as a “Power Equipment Expo.”

The latest in battery technology saw price drops in a lot of battery-powered equipment, such as the Core Gasless Power outdoor tools, which includes a trimmer and a blower, and the Oregon expanded offering.

“We’re getting a lot of looks from especially the seniors who are tired of pulling and pulling those gas engines,” said Tim Glider. “It’s also a lot quieter than the gas motors.”

Shoppers were also treated to store-wide discounts and premiums as well as food prepared by the Kawamura ohana.
