Happy birthday to Ula, Brudda Branch Harmony’s service dog who celebrated on Mother’s Day.
Josephine Duvachelle was able to visit the Koloa sunshine market because she got a driver when her sisters, Mary Alice Powelson of Ohio and Mabel Jean Pacarro of Honolulu came to visit.
Cliff and Andrea Greenberg of California were among the shoppers, Cliff (he works for Nikon software division, Ada Koene!) noting he reads TGI online for about three years, now. Eugene Jimenez (he missed the mayor’s Salvation Army proclamation because he was on the Mainland) was shopping because he wanted to cook Filipino.
Jalene Ramelb of Alaska was enjoying some Ho’s Stuffed Eggplant with Kelvin Moniz and his wife at the Kukui Grove food court. Jalene said they don’t have that in Alaska so makes sure she gets to enjoy that dish when she is here.
Speaking of which, today is the last day for Menehune Food Mart in Lawai…gotta go check out what’s left. Mary Mills said they’re not the only ones going — Marvin Taba’s Kalaheo Chevron is now red with a 76 logo.
