Eric L. Knudsen, a former manager of Kahili Mountain Park in Koloa, died on Tuesday in Reno after a prolonged illness.

He was a descendent of the late Eric A. Knudsen, whose private trust oversees 3,800 acres of land from Mount Kahili to Poipu Beach on the South Shore

Eric A. Knudsen’s parents were among the original pioneers to Hawaii and arrived separately in 1856 and 1863.

Eric L. Knudsen was, at the time of his death, one of nearly 50 living beneficiaries and stewards of the trust.
