HONOLULU — The Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of State Parks is seeking applications for several vacancies on the Kokee State Park Advisory Council, a nine-member council that advises the department on matters relating to the management of Kokee and Waimea Canyon State Parks.
The Advisory Council is comprised of nine voting members, three appointed by the governor, three by the Speaker of the House, and three by the Senate president. Members shall be residents of Kauai, serve in a voluntary capacity and have general knowledge in one of four areas: 1) education, 2) cultural resources, 3) the environment, and 4) native plants, animals and ecosystems.
