Triathlon set for March 21

MANA — A mini triathlon consisting of an 80-yard swim, 3-mile bike ride and a 1-mile trail run is open to the public, ages 7 and over, individuals or teams. It will be held on March 21 starting at 8 a.m. at the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Mana swimming pool.

Participants must be able to swim 80 yards and wear a bright-colored shirt for the bike phase.

Due to the size of the pool at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, registration is limited to about 30 participants, and interested people are encouraged to register early.

Deadline for applications is March 14.

The registration fee is $5 for active military or family, $10 for PMRF, and $15 for general public.

Registration includes an event T-shirt, participation medal and award certificate for the Top 3 in each age group.

An awards ceremony will be held at Shenanigan’s with a special post-race lunch available.

Registration with lunch of turkey club, fries and a drink is $15 for active military and family, $18 for PMRF and $23 for general public.
