KPD is asking for help with finding runaway

LIHUE — The Kauai Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a runaway.

Joseph Hoapili, III, 17, ran away from his Hanamaulu home on Oct. 3. His family is concerned for his welfare.

Hoapili was last seen near Kalepa Village wearing a white T-shirt with a turtle print on the back, black slippers, and green, white, and black print shorts. He is of Hawaiian and Filipino descent, has a pierced right ear, stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, a thin build, and a dark complexion.

Anyone with information about Hoapili is urged to call KPD dispatch at 241-1711 or the Investigative Services Bureau, 241-1696.
