The driver of the pickup did not report any injuries and was later arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.
According to police, David Carlson was heading south on Anini Road at approximately 7 p.m., when the Dodge truck he was driving crashed into a utility pole, severing the pole at its base.
