Happy Day After Christmas!
Wow! What a holiday! Donna Cummins of Chevron Lihue had to work Christmas, but had time to catch the Christmas Eve service at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
And Ed Kawamura is starting to make the mallets for the ohana’s annual mochi-making for New Year’s — that’s what happens when Christmas falls on Thursday.
Kudos to the organizers of the Santa Christmas Eve arrivals at both Poipu (mahalo to Mary Mills for the heads-up text) and Kalapaki (wasn’t that Taegan Keep among the beach people?). Kudos to Aliana Ho and Nohi Perry (Warren Perry’s granddaughter?) on doing a great job with the pu.
Beth Kauwe was thrilled Santa, also known as Willie Meyers of the Big Island, got to ride matching canoes (mahalo Greg Davis and Hoku Water Sports), and over at Poipu, Billy Kaohelaulii had his ohana on hand for photos along with the throng of Christmas revelers.
OK, time to go check out Dallas Correa and the Collegiate Showcase at Hanapepe Stadium.
