Suspicious monk seal death reported on Kauai
LIHUE — State and federal officials are investigating a suspicious Hawaiian monk seal death on Kauai.
The incident occurred on Sunday in Anahola. The investigation is being handled by the state Department of Land and Natural Resources and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. A reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest and conviction.
The two agencies will discuss the investigation during a press conference at 11 a.m. today in Honolulu.
