Give critters ‘Home for Holidays’

In the spirit of the holidays, Kauai Humane Society and Kauai Community Cat Project are partnering up for a “Home for the Holidays” campaign. Their goal is to find a home for the holidays for 100 animals. The campaign will kick off at KHS Blooming Tails Resale Store in Lihue on Black Friday, starting at 10 am.

Each week there will be a mobile pet adoption at several different locations, including the following:

Dec 13: KCC Farmers’ Market, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dec 21: Kukui Grove, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Additional dates and places will be announced.

Each adopted pet will receive several goodies to take home with them, donated by several local business owners. Subaru “Share the Love” Campaign has agreed to waive all adoption fees for all Subaru owners at the event they are hosting.

The Kauai Community Cat Project will bring cats and kittens for adoption to each mobile event. Other cats and kittens will be available off-site for those wishing to meet more.

Both nonprofit organizations will offer educational and additional materials at each location.
