The work includes stabilization of loose boulders and other material along the road near Waiakanaloa Wet Cave.

During the project, Haena State Park will remain open, though park visitors may experience periodic traffic stops and pedestrian safety barriers will be in place. DLNR staff will be present during the work being performed by Hi-Tech Rockfall Construction, Inc. The project cost is $176,543.
