Happy Camper for Oct. 15, 2014

The Kauai Pop Warner Football League’s islandwide cheer competition will take place on Oct. 26 at Kapaa High School, said Pam Arroyo, KPWFL president.

Pop Warner cheerleaders have been creative in displaying their support of breast cancer awareness and the ribbons will be flying through the month of October (Bridget Arume has a birthday on Halloween).

Eric Rita was working his magic with the Korean Chicken and Cyani said her last name was “B-Rita,” short for Bagoisan-Rita. Tina Albao was still on her feet despite a full day Saturday with the NFL workout.

Kudos to Dennis Agena on another great basketball clinic (John Kaneholani was able to take in the final day of the clinic and still make it to the game Saturday), and mahalo to the East Kauai Lions for their contribution to Coach Jason Apilado and the Lihue Patriots for safety enhancements.

OK, it’s time to go check out the big KIF air riflery match at Kauai High School.
