Tammi Andersland
Tammi Lee Andersland of Wailua Homesteads passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on October 7, 2014, at the age of 51. She was born in California on February 19, 1963. A Veteran of the United States Navy, she was a free lance writer.
She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Tracy and mother, Judith Warner, and is survived by her son, Aaron Andersland; daughter, Kendall Andersland; grandson, Alekona Andersland-Kaleiohi and sister, Leslie Twomey.
A private memorial service was held at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Andersland family with arrangements.
Martha Mowry
Martha Jeanne Mowry of Hanalei passed away at home on September 29, 2014, at the age of 89. She was born in Los Angeles, California on July 16, 1925, and retired as a teacher.
She is survived by her husband, William F. Mowry; one daughter, Rebecca S. Mowry and one son, James P. Mowry.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the Mowry home from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with services at 11:00 a.m. Lunch and fellowship to follow. Donations may be made to U Turn for Christ. Casual attire suggested.

Stanley Wakayama
Stanley Mitsuo Wakayama of Wailua House Lots passed away at home on October 6, 2014, at the age of 89. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on February 20, 1925. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, Military Intelligence Service and retired from the Department of Water.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Shigeru Wakayama, Tadao Wakayama and Ernest Wakayama.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Laura Wakayama and son, Scot Wakayama of Wailua House Lots; two grandsons, Tyson (Chanelle) Wakayama of Wailua House Lots and Travis Wakayama of Honolulu; one great-grandson, Makoa Stanley Wakayama of Wailua House Lots; one brother, Jack (Florence) Wakayama of California; four sisters, Miyako Betty Yama of Kauai, Kate Watase of Oahu, Grace (Kenji) Munechika of Oahu, Irene (Jerry) Matsuda of Washington; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Lihue Christian Church with visitation from 3:00 p.m. and services beginning at 3:30 p.m.

James Lawshe Jr.
James (Jim) S. Lawshe Jr. of Kalaheo, Kauai County, Hawaii, and more recently Phoenix, died Saturday, August 30, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Hey-Hey and Jo May; brother Dan; daughter Judy and his beloved wife Coleen.
He is survived by four of his five children–Jim and his wife Cyndy; Eddie and his wife Valerie; Barry and John; Judy’s husband Lenny Freitas of Koloa; seven grandchildren: Brandon and Bryson Freitas; Jeffery, Eric, Heather, Jason and Kurtis Lawshe, and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to a charity of your own choosing. His memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18 with visitation from 8:30-9:30 am followed by a mass, burial and reception at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo, Hawaii.
