Happy Camper for Sept. 24, 2014

Mahalo to everyone (!!!) who showed up to visit Jaycie Kobayashi Apilado Saturday during the Zumba fundraising event (I still say it should have been a convention). Ann (Kauai Fire Chief Robert was home paying the bills) Westerman said they are good families.

Jaycie (she even had special “Jaycie” shirts available) said she is looking forward to going back to school (Lisa Kobayashi, Jaycie’s mom, said Jaycie would be equal to a second-year student). It was a good thing the Lihue Patriots Peewee enjoyed a bye so Coach Jason Apilado could spin some tunes instead of practicing.

Mahalo to Bob Jasper for the heads-up on the Elvis fans (where is Jeff Dorn when you need him?) at the Coco Palms where the chapel was built for the Rita Hayworth film “Miss Sadie Thompson” and Larry Rivera (he was thrilled he could see Kapaa win while he’s still alive).
