Registration for a nonalcoholic Zumba Nightclub Party are currently being accepted for a fundraising benefit to help Jaycie Kobayashi Apilado.
Proceeds from the event will help Jaycie with her rising medical expenses and the purchase of a specially equipped transportation vehicle.
Jaycie was involved in a vehicle accident a year ago which has left her a quadriplegic.
The party will unfold from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School and will feature some of the island’s finest instructors, including Anna Velasco, Troy Lazaro, Kawehi Anama, Joanie Morita, Brandon Allianic, Cheryl Perreira, Stacie Cantu, Donna Olivas-Kaohi, Ann Wooten and Victoria Oana.
Joining the crew, three of the newest instructors, Leslie Simmons, Kay Mones and Sandie Ishii will be lending their talent.
Registration is $10 per person and can be done by contacting any of the instructors, Sandie Ishii at 652-1647, or at the door starting at 4:30 p.m.
In addition to the Zumba, with music provided by DJ Jason Apilado, people are able to help Jaycie by participating in the door prize drawings and bake sale.
Some of the prizes include a one-night stay at the Hanalei Bay Resort, Koloa Ziplining, Kauai ATV Tour, Holoholo Charters Na Pali Tour, Bella Dia Full Set Eyelash Extensions, facials, nails, salons and more.
