LIHUE – The American Cancer Society is recruiting drivers for its “Road to Recovery” program.
The Society needs at least five volunteers who can drive cancer patients to and from treatments. Currently, the services for patients are limited and many requests for transportation are left unfulfilled.
Through the gift of a lift in their own car, volunteers can help patients take one more step on the road to recovery. Volunteers can give rides based on their own schedules. “Road to Recovery” training will be provided to new drivers.
