Tammy Fernandez’s team, aptly called The Team, won the Paco’s Tacos House 7-A-Side soccer tournament last weekend.
Playing three games within a span of three hours, the winner’s finished the tournament with two wins and a loss, just three points ahead of runner-up Pono Kai.
The tourney ended Sunday at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Sports Park in Wailua.
Paco’s Tacos House, the tournament sponsor, and Cane Fire finished third and fourth, respectively.
Kauai Coed Soccer is a Hawaii Soccer Association affiliated league which plays Tuesdays. Play format features seven players on a side and one female must be on the field at all times. Teams consist of females 18 and older and males 35 and up.
