James Cabral
James Cabral of Puhi passed away at home on May 12, 2014, at the age of 88. He was born in Kalaheo, Kauai on November 3, 1925, Veteran of the United States Army, and retired as supervisor from County of Kauai Parks and Recreations Division.
Preceded in death by parents Marion and Mary Cabral, 8 brothers, and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Cabral; 3 sons, Jimmy (Marilyn) Cabral, Grady (Annie) Cabral, Keith (Yolanda) Cabral; 2 daughters, Cindy (Mervin) Soto, Monalisa (Dabney) Miguel; 11 grandchildren, Kahelelani (Jason) Visitacion, Shane (Atchara) Soto, Tiffany (Jay) Cabral, Kimo Cabral, Nicole (Don) Okami, Wendice Soto, Whitney (Chico) Miguel, Courtney (Taylor) Thompson, Makana Cabral, Ethan Miguel, Hunter Cabral; 8 great-grandchildren, Tynoa Shigemoto, Lochlen Visitacion, Kawaileleleialoha Cabral, Kahekili Cabral, Zayden Okami, Ava Soto, Mason Okami, Zoe Soto, numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Holy Cross Church with visitation from 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Family graciously declines flowers.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Cabral family with arrangements.

James “Jimmy” Howard Quinones Sr. of Kilauea died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 15, 2014, at the age of 76. He was born in Kilauea on April 5, 1938, and retired from the Naval Air Station of Alameda as a machinist.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank Quinones Jr., Haruko Oshima Quinones; brother Mitchell Quinoes.
He is survived by his sons, James “Boogie” Quinones Jr. of California, James “John” (Chanelle) Quinones III of Lihue, Francis Jordan Quinones of California; stepson, Jenjerome (Amelia) Fernando and their mother Linda Chu; sweetheart, Prisca Domingo; brother, Frank (Flo) of California; sisters, Irene Ujimori of Wai’anae, Linda of Kilauea, Doris (Peter) Ng of Honolulu, Beverly (Manuel) Ang of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Charlene Quinones of Kapa’a; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. The family suggests aloha attire and graciously declines flowers.
