The Kauai North Shore Lions Club will be hosting its service project for the Weinberg Foundation Saturday at the Kilauea Neighborhood Park.
Starting at 8:30 a.m., the Lions will be cleaning, painting and refurbishing the park’s facilities. In return, and on completion of the project requiring a minimum number of volunteers, the Weinberg Foundation will present a $10,000 grant to the beneficiary of the North Shore Lions Club.
The Church of the Pacific food pantry program has been designated the beneficiary of the Lions’ Weinberg project, said Louis LaFratta in a release.
LaFratta said this will be the fourth year the North Shore Lions Club will be participating in the outstanding program.
Volunteers are welcome to assist the Lions in the clean up and sprucing of the Kilauea Neighborhood Park.
