LIHUE — Today, there isn’t a garden club on the Garden Isle. But Koloa resident and avid gardener Carol Marsh says the time has come.
The club’s first meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Marsh’s home, which features a vibrant half-acre garden. Her lot is home to more than 100 species of plants — from spathoglottis and Jamaican poinsettias to spotted begonias and nun’s cap orchids.
Saturday’s meeting is for all those interested in landscape, vegetables and flowers.
Marsh lives at 4100 Omao Road, the first left off Kaumualii Highway after the tree tunnel coming from Lihue.
