Rev. Ryan Newman of the All Saints Church said he wants more food trucks so people can enjoy the shade of the trees while enjoying lunch.
This must be an extension of the Kauai Beer Co. Food Truck Thursdays which has been a boon since it started. Michael Dahilig is even starting to play giant-sized checkers and chess as a way to raise awareness of “parklets.” Larry Feinstein has been doing a great job juggling the food trucks so people have a variety every week.
Dominique Bartolo fell in love with the orange Jeep (they even got Laurie Weber to get a pix in front of it) Wednesday when she and the multiple sclerosis people from Oahu came to visit Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.
Ron Wiley is celebrating 25 years with KONG Radio with a quarter drive with a goal of raising 100 pounds of quarters by April 1 (his true anniversary date). He’ll donate it to the Kauai Independent Food Bank.
