Josie Pablo had some of the Mahelona Hospital residents out Saturday during the Kodomo no hi festivities for Girls Day lunch (McDonald’s is not lunch, Melody Pascual!), and Stephen Fujii still had time to do bonsai before the East Kauai Lions Club pancake breakfast.
Gary Pacheco said the North Shore Lions breakfast (they even have hula) is on April 13 at the Hanalei School cafeteria where “you can eat until tired.” He has tickets for the event, too.
Coach Max Manera was doing last-minute Termite Basketball signups, moving from the basketball court to the hallway connecting the Lihue Neighborhood centers because of the threatening weather.
The county’s James Kealalio is handling the program with help from Bobby Kamakele of Kaulupono, Max said.
