A Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration of Peace is scheduled Monday at the Kukui Grove Mall food court.
There will be guest speakers, dancers, singers and a parade to “celebrate the spirit of peacemaking as exemplified by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other famous peacemakers.
The Interfaith Roundtable of Kauai invites the public to its free annual Celebration of Peace from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“This year we will also honor the late President Nelson Mandela of South Africa, and Malala Yousafzai, peace prize winning 16-year-old Pakistani girl who spoke out for education for girls, was shot by the Taliban and forgave them,” according to a press release.
Event chairwoman is Annaleah Atkinson.
