In the next few weeks Hoola Lahui will be educating the community on enrollment for a health insurance plan in accordance with the federal Affordable Care Act.
As of Jan. 1, those who do not meet an exemption and do not have health insurance for more than three consecutive months, will be charged a penalty when filing Internal Revenue Service tax returns.
Here’s a list of venues where Hoola Lahui professionals will be available for education and also enrollment:
North Shore
• Wednesdays: Church of the Pacific in Princeville, 1:30 to 4 p.m.
• Thursdays: Kilauea Farmers Market, 4 to 5 p.m.
• Second Friday: Hale Halawai Ohana o Hanalei, 8 to 11 a.m.
Eastside
• Tuesdays: Hale Hoomalu, 1 to 4 p.m.
• Wednesdays: Hale Hoomalu, 12 to 3 p.m.
• Dec. 3: Kapaa Library, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Central
• Wednesdays: St. Michaels Church, 9 to 10:30 a.m.
• Fourth Friday: Aloha Church, 3 to 4 p.m.
• Third Wednesday: Lihue Court Townhomes, 4 to 5 p.m.
South Shore
• Third Friday: Koloa Union Church, 2 to 3 p.m.
• Third Wednesday: Kalaheo Missionary, 1 to 2 p.m.
Westside
• Wednesdays: Nana’s House, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
