Kudos to both Kapaa coach Kelii Morgado and Kauai coach Tommy John Cox and their staff and players on a great game Friday night!
Coach Dino Pabre is getting his feet wet in the KIF, too.
Football has one more night game before Sept. 15, and coach Lois Keamoai is praying the birds will not be attracted by the lights at Hanapepe Stadium.
Hats off to Waimea High School AD Jon Kobayashi and his staff on a great cross country preseason run! Dean Okayama has this cross country thing wired — go early and spend some time fishing off the Waimea Pier before the races start. Only problem with going early is Gina’s at Yumi’s (Yukie DeSilva said the pumpkin crunch is ono!) doesn’t open until 8 a.m.
OK, it’s off to the Kauai County Council to find out what’s going on with Bill 2491.
