Karen Yamamoto

Karen Yamamoto of Wailua Homesteads passed away on August 17, 2013 at Garden Island Health Care at the age of 72.  She was born on April 9, 1941 in Lihue, Kauai, she was a retired Teacher with Kapaa Elementary School.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shoichi  and Kimiko Kodama and brother, Ben Kodama.

She is survived by her husband, James Yamamoto; son, Reid (Janna) Yamamoto of Pearl City; daughters, Lori (Kent) Kikuchi of Lihue and Mari Yamamoto of Kapaa; sister, LaVerne (Ronald) Kodama Yokoi of Kapaa; sister-in-law, Ann Kodama of Kailua; six grandchildren; Ethan Kaiwi; Tamryn  and Gavin Yamamoto; Kade  and Heiley Kikuchi and Justin Yamamoto; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai at 3:30 pm. Service will begin at 4:30 pm. Casual attire is suggested.
