Ron Wiley was pretty much camping out at Kukui Grove this weekend, starting with his vegetarian burrito from La Bamba (no Anna Munoz) for the Dine Out for Hunger.
Then, with a full stomach, he popped up at the First Friday to emcee the “Facial Fashion Show” with the Game Kids with Pastor Rennie Mau.
Jonell Kaohelaulii was busy handing out the bonus Hawaiian (Airlines) Miles, and Harvey Maeda is already trying to figure out the down time when the Kauai Classic Cars get a break between October and January when the endangered birds fledge.
Speaking of which, this Friday Coach Kelii Morgado and the Kapaa High School football team open the season with a pre-season game against Nanakuli starting at 5 p.m. with the junior varsity, followed by the varsity game at 7:30 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
Saturday, it’s coach Kealii Aguiar and the Waimea boys taking on Anuenue at Hanapepe Stadium starting at 2 p.m. so people can still make the Green concert at Vidinha.
