Carmen ‘Dolores’ Erlandiz
Carmen “Dolores” Erlandiz of Lihue , Kauai, Hawaii passed away on June 1, 2013 at the age of 66 born on August 18, 1946 in Hanapepe, Kauai. She was a medical supply distributor.
She is preceded in death by parents Celedonio Tony Erlandiz, Angeline F. Erlandiz; brother, Toneing Tony Erlandiz; grandson, Samuel M. Calves Jr.; former husband, Joseph Mariano.
She is survived by daughters, Angeliz “Angie” (Philip) Davis of Lihue, and Jasmine “Jazz” Mariano-Hardy (Keith) of Hanapepe; brothers, Michael “Sonny” (Gloria) Reyes of Anaheim, James Alvin Reyes of Texas, August Erlandiz of Honolulu, Stanley (Doris) Erlandiz of Honolulu, Edward “Eddie Boy”(Waedeen Yaris) Erlandiz of Honolulu, sister, Myra-Linda(William) Sakai of Kalaheo; 9 grandchildren, Kevin Castillo of Kona, Anthony Jahga Calves of Kalaheo, Jeffery Calves of Kapaa, Kellie Hardy (Byron Corpuz) of Lihue, Kalani Hardy of Washington, BJ Mariano-Hardy (Cassie Ruiz) of Kekaha, Keatin Joseph Mariano-Hardy of Hanapepe, Jolene Mariano-Hardy (Shawn Pundyke) of Hanamaulu; 12 great grandchildren, Rozalyn Mabini, Roelene Mabini, Kasalie Mabini, RJae Mabini, Cyann Corpuz, Akoni Ruiz-Bermoy, Jaeden-Joseph Mariano-Hardy, Jahlei Calves and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life is Saturday June 8, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo, visitation at 10:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Casual attire.
Private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Stanley Carvalho
Stanley Manuel Carvalho of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 3, 2013, at the age of 76. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on June 5, 1936, and retired from Lihue Sugar Plantation as a supervisor from the Hanamaulu Tractor Shop.
Preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Leina’ala Carvalho; parents, Manuel and Georgina Carvalho; daughter, Raymonda Haney; sister-in-law, Espy Oana; brother-in-law, John Ornellas.
He is survived by five sons, Darryl Kaina Carvalho, Duane Kaleo Carvalho, Destry Kalama Carvalho, Dawson Kaili (Trisha Inanod) Carvalho, Mitch (Trisha) Fanning; grandchildren, Kaison Carvalho, Kainani Inanod, La’akea Iseri-Carvalho, Deshayne’e Iseri-Carvalho, Gabriel Fanning, Elijah Tussing, Kalei (Ricky Rego)Cardinez, Kanani (Harvey) Makekau, Mikey (Carolan) Cardinez, Tyrus “TC” Cardinez; brothers, Bernard Carvalho Sr., Glenn (Ruth) Carvalho; sisters, Yvonne (Masa) Camat, Beverly (Norman Sr.) Holt; brothers-in-law, Stanely Oana Jr., Rossiter (Vicki) Oana Sr.; sister-in-law, Flora Ornellas; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Sunday Dargel
Sunday Nohealohalani (Torres) Dargel of Port Orchard died May 22, 2013 at the age of 55. Originally from Koloa, Kauai, HI, she was born on June 23, 1957. Her community service was with the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery program, Relay for Life, Make a Wish Foundation, and READY! for Kindergarten.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas K. Dargel; and children: Zachary Dargel, Kristina a.k.a Tina (Bret) Hansen and grand daughter Kristiana Hansen all of Port Orchard, and Nicholas (Sheri) Dargel and grand daughters Malia and Ava Dargel all of Utah; her siblings are brother: Angelo Batin of Koloa, and five sisters: Barbara (Butch) Diehl of South Carolina, Yolanda (David) Cutcher of Anahola, and Christine (Jaime) Orozco of Ewa Beach; mother-in-law Kimi (Watanabe) Nakamura, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Her parents; father Cresenciano Torres and mother Madeline Lena (Kailiponi) Torres and sisters Luana (Elliott) Rosa and Elizabeth precede her in death.
A Memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 1100 at the LDS Chapel, 1550 Hoover Ave SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366. Internment of her ashes will take place at a later date at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Hanapepe, Kauai, HI. For more info see www.rill.com.
Fumiko Kato
Fumiko “Florence” Kato of Lihue passed away at Garden Isla Health Care on April 9, 2013, at the age of 89. She was born in Hanapepe, Kauai on June 24, 1923, and retired from Kauai Stores as a seamstress.
She is survived by two sons, Charles (Pat) Kato of Seattle and Eric (Jane) Kato of Lihue; four grandchildren, Andrea, Derek, Charles, George; two sisters, Margo (Roy) Iwami and Audris (Sonny) Abella, both of California, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Lihue Hongwanji with services beginning at 3:30 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
Family suggests casual attire and graciously declines flowers.

Juliet Medeiros
Juliet V. Medeiros of Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away May 28, 2013 at the Long Term Care Facility of the Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center in Odessa, WA. She was born on August 13, 1926 in Koloa and worked for First Hawaiian Bank.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Maria Medeiros, sister Maria Medeiros, six brothers Joseph, John, Lawrence, Gabriel, Bento and Augustine Medeiros.
She is survived by her sister Dorothy Schorzman of Odessa and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery, Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii.
Flowers may be sent to St. Raphael’s Church in memory of her.
