Larry Blow of Lihu‘e celebrated a hole-in-one at the Wailua Golf Course 170-yard No. 7 last Tuesday.
Blow used a Callaway No. 5 iron to accomplish his feat, his second in his 59-year golf career.
Sheila Davis, Brad Imano, Ron Holte and Hawk Kawaihalau were among the group witnessing the ace.
Pair of aces in Princeville
History was made at The Prince Course Friday as Patrick Murdoch carded the second hole-in-one of the day. “Paddy” as he is known to his pals, buried a Taylor Made ball with a 7-wood from 151-yards away on the 7th hole. It was the second Ace for Murdoch, who hails from Bellevue, Wash.
“The wind was blowing so hard today I couldn’t believe it when I saw the ball disappear into the hole,” Murdoch said.
On the one-year anniversary of the Prince re-opening, as well as the last hole-in-one by a lady, Teresa Bernard of Santa Ynez, Calif. aced the 11th hole at The Prince Course Friday. It was Bernard’s second hole-in -one, having previously carded her first ace at Palm Desert.
Teresa, her husband, Tom and friends, Pam and Mark Jenkinson, watched her tee shot trickle into the cup from 105 yards out after striking the Pinnacle ball with her 9-iron.
