LIHU‘E — The public is invited to attend a memorial service and pay their respects to Sen. Daniel K. Inouye on Friday at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall, according to a county news release.
Public visitation is set for 4 p.m. followed by the service at 5 p.m.
The private roadway between the convention hall and the public parking lot will be dedicated as a drop-off location for those with disabilities and a VIP parking area.
The convention hall parking lot will remain open to the public.
The family of late Inouye requests no flowers.
Those wishing to make a contribution are instead asked to donate to The Daniel K. Inouye Memorial Fund with The Hawai‘i Community Foundation.
The fund has been created to help organizations and causes that Inouye supported.
