Kapa Moke Jr.
Kapa Kaniela Moke, Jr. of Hanapepe, Kauai passed away on November 30, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 3. He was born on August 19, 2009 in Lihue, Kauai.
He was preceded in death by his Tutu, Yoshiko Moke; and Uncle, Carlos Hurtado
He is survived by his parents, Kapa Moke Sr., and Puna Duarte-Perreira; Paternal Grandparents, Daniel “Pops” (Heather) Moke, and Lisa Moke; Maternal Grandparents, Tommy Perreira, and Tanya (Chad) Duarte; Uncles, Dennis Duarte, Sergio Hurtado, Gabriel Hurtado, Daniel (Michelle) Hurtado, Noa Moke, Micah Moke, Channyn Moke, Tommy (Cindy) Tinn, Keoni Tinn, Kainoa Tinn,Kaleo Tinn, Jesse Uemura, Jon Fritz and Ryan Valmoja; Aunts, Vanessa (Noah) Carano, Rachel (Derek) Moke, Liana Moke, Danielynn Moke, Taylor Gaspar, Kimi Pereira, Kelly Donigan, Emmalia Donigan, Tricia (Neal) Olivas, Leimomi Schimmelfennig; Cousins, Carlos Rivera-Carano, Tehani Carano, Mia Carano, Kyrie Nuivo, Hi’ilani Moke-Henderson, Noe Reyes, Nazareth Reyes, Makana Moke and Zoey Hurtado.

Pacita C. Tadeo
Pacita C. Tadeo of Kaumakani, Kauai passed away on November 20, 2012 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. Born on October 9, 1928 in the Philippines, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernardo Tadeo; and her son, Nick Tadeo.
She is survived by her son, Billy (Baby) Tadeo, Melanio Tadeo, Jovito (Sitang) Tadeo, and Bernardo (Eva) Tadeo; daughters, Nelia (Celso) Cuaresma, Lolita (Jamie) Moniz, Marivic (Gilber) Corpuz; and daughter-in-law, Liza Tadeo; 5 grandchildren; and numerous grandchildren and great granchildren residing in the Philippines.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6:00 pm and prayer services will be celebrated at 7:00 pm.

Christina Constantino
Christina “Mama” Yadao Constantino of Kilauea, Kauai was born on December 5, 1932 at Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii. She went to our Lord on November 23, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Christina’s last occupation before retirement was with the County of Kauai, Agency on Elderly Affairs – Community Outreach Worker for the North Shore. She has also worked with Kilauea Sugar Plantation, Hanalei Plantation / Club Med, Yadao Bus Service / Yamaguchi Bus Service, Bali Hai Restaurant, Grove Farm – Kahili Rock Quarry as a Weigh Master, Makai Clubhouse and Princeville at Hanalei.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Constantino, parents, Eutropia and Timoteo Yadao, brothers, Raymond and Bernard Yadao and sisters, Mary Cabacungan and Esmenia Belmonte.

Crisogono Melchor
Crisogono Simeon Melchor died peacefully on December 7, 2012 at his home in Oamo at age 92. Born in the Philippines on November 21, 1920, he retried as a Broiler Operator from McBryde Sugar Mill in Koloa on March 22, 1982. He participated in the 2011 Koloa Plantation Days Parade as one of the oldest living 1946 Filipino Immigrant “Sakada” on Kauai.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clemente and Juana Melchor; brothers, Eugenio Melchor, Pomocino Melchor, Inocencio Melchor, and Pedro Melchor; brothers-in-law, Lauriano Gaoiran, and Ernesto Asuncion.
He is survived by his wife, Emilia Melchor of Omao; sons, Constante (Kay) Melchor of California, Tony (Diane) Melchor of Koloa; five grandchildren, Clinton (Leslie) Melchor of California, Cyrus Melchor of California, Tyson Melchor of Koloa, Kendrick Melchor of Koloa, Diandra Melchor of Oahu; brother, Artemio (Rose) Melchor of Omao, Crispina Gaoiran of Koloa, Anacleto (Soledad) Melchor of Koloa, Rosa Melchor of Koloa, Ben (Amie) Melchor of Koloa, Manuel (Flora) Melchor of Oahu; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. Rafael Church, Koloa. Visitation will be from 8:30 am to 10:30 am with mass to follow at 11:00 am.; Burial to follow at St. Raphael Church Cemetery.

Koon Ye Ching
Koon Ye Ching of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on November 25, 2012 at the age of 97 at Samuel Mahelona Hospital.
Born in Lihue, Hawaii on April 19, 2015, he worked for Lihue Plantation as the Safety Director
He was preceded in death by his parents, Koon Mun & Lum Shee Ching; wife, Phoebe Ching; brothers, Koon Wing, Koon Wai “Larry”, and Koon Lee Ching
He is survived by his sister, Shew Young “Florence” Leong, Oi Kam “Mildred” Kam , Mew Lung “Elsie” Goo; daughters, Lora (Robert) Deahl, Ellen (Michael Belles) Ching; son, Steven (Lisa Jobson) Ching; brother, Koon Chee “Wesley”; numerous nieces & nephews; and grandaughter, Erica Deahl.
Celebration of Life will begin on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Lihue Christian Church. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. with service to follow at 11:00 a.m.; Private burial.

Mariano Lampitoc
Mariano Sonny Lampitoc of Waimea, Kauai, died on November 28, 2012 at home at the age of 81. Born on April 9, 1931, in Waimea, Kauai, he was a cook with Job Corp Hawaii/KVMH.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Luz Lampitoc; daughter, Marylou Lampitoc; parents, Amadio and Tomasa Lampitoc; brother, Franklin Soriano; and sisters, Felicidad Leonard, Philomena Ahina, and Connie Hoshibata.
He is survived by his son, James Lampitoc of Waimea; daughters, Brenda Lampitoc of Waimea and Barbara (Tim) Hicks of Florida; brother, Melvin Soriano of Wahiawa, and brothers-in-law, Soloman Ahina of Oahu and John Hoshibata of Mililani; sisters, Josephine Alvarez of Kekaha, Diana (Jay) Sasan of Honolulu, Lolita (Edward) Toves of Wahiawa, Rosalina (Alejo) Agni of Wahiawa, Arsenia (Chuck) Schroeder of Pennsylvania, and sister-in-law, Naty Soriano of Wahiawa; and five grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Waimea Sacred Hearts Church. Visitation will be from 9 am to 10:30 am, and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m.; Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

Teruo Tabata
Teruo Tabata of Aiea, Hawaii passed away on November 12, 2012 in Waipahu, Hawaii at the age of 84. Born on April 29, 1928 in Lahaina, Maui, he was American Factors (Amfac) Director of Factory Operations.
He was preceded in death by his parents Shozo and Mitsuuru Tabata; and brother, Masakatsu Tabata.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn T. Tabata; sons, Lyle M. (Vianne) Tabata, and Curtis T. (Ruby) Tabata; daughter, Allyn Y. (Alan Amos) Tabata; brothers, Katsutoshi Tabata, Seichi Tabata, Shogo Tabata, and Takashi Tabata; sisters, Nobuko Abe, Hideko Kurihara, Shirley Ponomareff; 6 grand- children; and 1 great-grandchild.

Ethan Okuhara
Ethan Allen Okuhara passed away on December 2, 2012 at home at the age of 16. Born on April 2, 1996 in Lihue.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Yoshio and Yukiko Okuhara.
He is survived by his mother Cheryl Michioka and father Stanley Okuhara of Lihue. Also survived by maternal grandparents Allen and Hilda Michioka.
Also survived by Lauren Michioka, Blaine (Jeane) Michioka, Cory Michioka, and Alan (Jeanine) Okuhara. Cousins: Alicia (Matthew) Brock, and Luke Jones, Justine (Kaina) Shiloh, Levi and Ethan Costa and Jasmine & Jada Doria, Kahea Michioka.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Kauai Veterans Center at 4:30 pm.

Virginia Moniz
Virginia L. Moniz of Kalaheo, Kauai passed away on December 5, 2012 at Kauai Veteran Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Born on June, 27, 1926 in Koloa, Kauai, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Antonia Moniz; sons, Ernest (JoAnne) Moniz, John (Faith) Moniz, and Stacy (Bonny) Moniz; sisters, Agnes Costa, and Margaret Gouveia; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo at 9:00 am and mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.; inurnment to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Jay Patterson
Jay B. Patterson Sr. 61, formerly of Kailua-Kona, passed away at his Kekaha home on December 5, 2012. Born in Los Angeles, CA he became a Hawaii resident at the age of 16.
He is survived by his children, Misty M. (Richard) Pali, Jaylin J. (James Jr.) Grace, Jay B. (Kristen) Patterson Jr., and Gloria Jean Long-Patterson; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Elizabeth “Liz” Marie Dizol of Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on December 9, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 53. Born on September 27, 1959 in Portland, Maine, she was a jewelry maker.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fernando Dizol Jr.; and sister, Selina Galvan.
