A tennis carnival, geared for children between ages five and 15, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The program is free and participants may come and go as they please during those times.
According to Hanalei Bay Resort’s new tennis director, Corley Ward, the purpose of the carnival is to introduce the lifelong sport of tennis to area children in a fun and exciting way.
“We are preparing a variety of fun games and skill contests that are simple and require no prior tennis experience,” said Ward. “We have all the equipment here so parents just need to bring their kids ready to have a good time.”
Those wanting to make a reservation or find out further information should call 821-8225 or email tennis@hanaleibayresort.com .
Ward is a member of Peter Burwash International a well-known tennis management organization that took over direction of the tennis program at Hanalei Bay Resort last August.
