You dine, Sheraton donates

Po‘ipu — Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort has announced its limited time “You Dine, We Donate” charity program at RumFire Po‘ipu Beach restaurant.

During the remainder of October, all food and beverage proceeds from RumFire’s sunset-view table 53 will be donated to benefit the Kaua‘i United Way.

“We warmly welcome this opportunity to serve our community and invite our RumFire guests to support this worthy Kaua‘i charity,” Sheraton Kaua‘i General Manager Chip Bahouth said. “Through the participation of our diners, our goal is to raise $3,000.”

Guests dining at RumFire will enjoy the 180-degree oceanfront views and Hawaiian-rooted cuisine with global influences, spearheaded by Executive Chef Roger Liang. Facing the beautifully landscaped Ocean Courtyard and smoldering firepits, table 53 is prime seating for viewing Kaua‘i’s beautiful sunsets.

Kaua‘i United Way is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization, dedicated to serving the social needs of the island since 1943. All of the programs Kaua‘i United Way supports are located on Kaua‘i, and some agencies rely heavily on its support.

“Kaua‘i United Way is extremely important to our community. It is one of the only organizations where all of the money raised is put back into Kaua‘i non-profits,” Bahouth said. “The ‘You Dine, We Donate’ program allows the visitor industry the opportunity to help the community they’re staying in, and it also shows the commitment of our associates to the good of our community by taking care of visitors who are investing in our ‘ohana.”

Patrons who are interested in participating in RumFire’s month-long “You Dine, We Donate” program are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808-742-4RUM and requesting table 53. The table will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
