PRINCEVILLE — The Princeville Prince Golf Course reopened on Thursday after over a year of renovations.
The Prince, ranked as one of the Top 100 golf courses in the United States by Golf Digest, has been closed since Jan. 29, 2011.
The multi-million dollar renovation has included reconstructing the putting greens with SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum turn, remodeling the bunkers and widening the fairways.
The renovations were supervised by Trent Jones Jr., who designed the Prince Course when it was opened in 1990.
“We’ve given this Kaua‘i gem new polish and sparkle,” Jones said. “This revitalization makes the course more flexible for a wider range of players while still providing Championship-caliber challenges for more seasoned golfers.”
