Lolita Bagaoisan
Lolita Ragus Bagaoisan of Kekaha passed away on Jan. 27, 2012, at the age of 76. She was born on Jan. 21, 1936, in Barangay #24 Nanguyudan, Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was a suite attendant at the Embassy Poipu Pointe and retired in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loreto Bagaoisan Sr.; sons, Manuel and Sammy Bagaoisan; daughter, Marisa Bagaoisan; brother, Florendo Ragus and brother-in-law, Roxas Gallego.
She is survived by her children, Antonio (Gloria) Bagaoisan; Roderick (Deborah Bagaoisan and Loreto (Jeanna) Bagaoisan Jr.; siblings, Jesus Marcelino (Salud) Ragus; Virginia Gallego; Encarning (Rodolfo) Dela Cruz; Norma (Gregorio) Dumlao; Corazon (Felipe) Remigio; Luz (Calixto) Bagaoisan Jr. and sister-in-law, Gloria Ragus; grandchildren, Mark Bagaoisan; Glorianne (Jarren) Kaneakua; Crystal (Selwyn) Bagaoisan-Rita; Kamuela Numazawa; David Christian Bagaoisan and Nicholas Bagaoisan; great-grandchildren, Malisha and Mark Kepa Bagaoisan; Jayden, Javin and Jazen Kaneakua and Shylah and Cyani Bagaoisan-Rita.
Wake services will be held on Feb. 24 at Borthwick Mortuary in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha on Feb. 25 from 8 to 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Alfredo Agbisit
Alfredo Olivas Agbisit of Kaumakani died Jan. 27, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. Born on March 4, 1924, in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a retired field irrigator for Olokele Sugar Co.
He was preceded in death by Caroline Labuguen Agbisit and Leoning Agbisit.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Udarbe Agbisit; children, Jonarene Agbisit (Kyle Pacheco), Shaevona Valle (Jose) and Mervin Karl Agbisit; two grandchildren, Caroline Noble (Justin Sr.) and Jordan Valle; one great-grandson, Justin Noble Jr.; siblings, Dominga Utrera and Natividad Costales (Mariano); in-laws, Orencia Ancheta, Cerefina Costales (Pedro), Antonio Udarbe (Vanessa), Inocencia Udarbe, Dolores Navalta and Lorna Groth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha. Mass is at 10 a.m., followed by burial at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire.

Jeremiah Bernaldes
Jeremiah Thomas Kalaionamanu Bernaldes of Hanapepe died Jan. 30, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 13. He was born on April 4, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a student at Waimea Canyon Middle School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eldefonso Abalos.
He is survived by parents, Michael (Devita Abalos) Bernaldes; brother, Josiah Elias; sister, Anuhea Chock; hanai sister, Kiara Kaiwi-Bernaldes; grandparents, Rebecca Siquian John and Lani Bernaldes; and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Service at 11 a.m.

Victoria Moribe
Victoria Moribe of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i, died Jan. 29, 2012, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. Born July 13, 1936, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, she was a family development specialist with Kaua‘i Economic Opportunity Inc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Tomasa Esdicul; husband, Hajime Moribe; brother, Lecadio Esdicul; sisters, Bertha Kihei and Benita Cezar.
She is survived by sons, Wayne (Lillian) Moribe of Omao and Glenn Moribe of Kalaheo; daughter, Joy (Mike) McGill of Maryland; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Marcellino (Ruthie) Esdicul of Wahiawa, O‘ahu, Julian Esdicul of Mililani, O‘ahu and Lucas Esdicul of O‘ahu; sisters, Juanita (Benny) Callego of ‘Ele‘ele and Felicad (Francis) Oniate of Waipahu, O‘ahu.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; Service officiated by Pastor Kua will begin at 4 p.m. Casual attire.

Ralph Furushima
Ralph Takeshi Furushima of Garland, Texa, passed away on Jan. 5, 2012, at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on Kaua‘i on June 25, 1941, he was a retired start-up engineer for Brown & Root and Southwestern Power.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Takeo Furushima; mother, Dorothy Chieko Furushima, and stepmother, Evelyn Furushima.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Furushima of Garland, Texas, and daughters, Kim (Brett) Fincanon of Texas and Ami (Chris) Furushima-Ellis of Virginia; brother, Dennis Furushima of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i; sisters, Gail (Greg) Makishi of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu and Carol (Gene) Moriguchi of Texas; stepbrothers, Alan (Kris) Sasaki, Melvin (Elaine) Sasaki and stepsisters, Ruth Matsumoto and Joyce (Reggie) Nakaoka.
A celebration of life service was held on Jan. 13 at the Community Bible Chapel in Richardson, Texas.
Priscilla Nitta
Priscilla Michie Nitta of Kalaheo died on Feb. 1, 2012, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 64. Born on Jan. 30, 1948, in Waimea, she was a branch manager with the Bank of Hawai’i, Hanapepe Branch.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Nitta; son, Ken (Erin) Nitta of Hanama’ulu; daughter, Tami Nitta of Honolulu; two grandchildren, Izen Numazu and Kellen Nitta; mother, Mikiko Muraoka; brothers, Calvin (Jane) Muraoka of Hanapepe and Leighton (Lisa) Muraoka of ‘Ele’ele; sisters, Lucile (Edwin) Horita of Lawai, Brenda Honda of Kalaheo and Sheila (Gerry) Tamura of Hilo.
Services were private.

Robert Segundo
Robert A. Segundo of Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, passed away on Jan. 24, 2012, at Queens Hospital at the age of 70. He was born on May 22, 1941, in the Philippines and was a retired irrigator.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Segundo; two daughters, Lynnette (Brian) Ferrence; Sharolyn (Percy Sanchez) Segundo; one son, Robert E (Stacy Oda) Segundo; one sister, Dionicia Agbayani and three grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Feb. 10, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m., and again on Saturday, Feb. 11, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mary Soo
Mary Shizuko Soo of Pearl City, Hawai‘i, died on Jan. 31, 2012, at Pali Momi Hospital at the age of 82. She was born on March 18, 1929, in Lihu‘e. She was a retired landscaper.
She is survived by husband, Teruo Soo; sons, Ronald (Vivian), Warren (Lorraine) and Darrin; daughters, Donna (Dean) Ichimasa and Lori (Lance) Kouchi; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, at Mililani Memorial Park (Makai Chapel). Visitation will be at 5:30 p.m. Service to follow at 6:30 p.m.
