Jackie Taylor, a 16-year-old Waimea High School junior, was recently crowned Miss Hawai‘i Teen Beauty 2012, a news release states. She sang her rendition of “Hero” by Mariah Carey and won the Best Talent Award. She was also presented with

She sang her rendition of “Hero” by Mariah Carey and won the Best Talent Award. She was also presented with the MIss Elegance Evening Gown award.
Jackie was one of 17 young women from the state competing for the title. Phases of competition included a personal interview with the Judges, Talent, Evening Gown and Swimsuit.
Jackie is the daughter of Richard and Kathie Taylor from Waimea. She is thankful to her community, businesses, friends and family that made this opportunity possible, the release states.
