My keiki is amazing. He is so strong, inside and out. His willpower and determination cannot be denied. His eyes light up a room, and his smile lights up my heart. I just melt when my keiki and I look into each other’s eyes and he is the first to smile.
Recently he has come down with a winters’ cold. Despite all the congestion and coughing he has been nothing but smiles and laughter. His demeanor during the whole thing has been an inspiration to me. He takes the time to rest, yes, and recuperate, but he hasn’t let his cold get in his way of a good attitude. His trials and tribulations are merely an afterthought in his curious mind. His priorities are still in check. Fun and nutrition remain at the top of the list! He has continued to gain weight and remains innately interested in the world around him.
I am glad he is feeling better now. I have learned a lot during this process as well. I learned that our attitude has a direct impact on our health and our happiness. A thought can change whereas a circumstance may not.
I encourage you to find something about your keiki that inspires you. Something that makes you think…my keiki is amazing. They have a lot to teach us if we are willing to learn.
