Princess Ruth stopped a fiery volcano cold in its tracks.
That is one of the women’s special stories within the pages of “Princess Ruth, Love and Tragedy in Hawai‘i,” by Jo Ann Lordahl.
Lordahl will be a guest of the Friends of the Hanapepe Public Library at 6 p.m. Thursday to talk about her novel as well as participate in a book signing.
Princess Ruth, described as the richest woman in Hawai‘i, and Samantha, a haole newcomer, settles into renewed love and life on Kaua‘i, described as the oldest, most spiritual of the Hawaiian Islands.
Throughout the pages are themes such as Genetically Modified Organisms, Hawai‘i’s fateful history and women’s special stories.
