Infant struck by mother’s car

HANAPEPE — An infant was hospitalized Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle driven by her mother at her Hanapepe home, the county announced Friday.

At approximately 7:15 a.m., a 38-year-old woman driving a black Ford SUV pulled forward into her garage when she inadvertently struck her 20-month-old daughter, according to a news release.

The infant was treated at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital for minor abrasions and lacerations.
