‘Let’s Go Big Red!’
Within the busy lives of Coach Kristle, Jazmine, Cheri, Kamalani and Kyanna, we always have just enough time to volunteer as coaches to these wonderful girls from Lihu‘e Patriots Pop Warner Cheer Squad. As much as we teach them, they give us a reason to be there. As the season moves on, they teach us responsibility, patience, creativity and the meaning of ‘ohana. Every moment spent with them gives us a lifetime of memories that we as a team will always cherish. We love them with all our hearts!

Art in unexpected places
I love cruising around the island and finding art in the most unexpected places. Whether it’s Sally French’s mural in the Princeville Shopping Center or aerosol art (spray paint sounds so negative) on the side of a building. This canyon scene is found on a wall facing the parking lot of the Hanapepe Post Office.

Ala Moana Bowls
Ala Moana Bowls is a madhouse on weekends. But on weekdays the crowd is not bad at all; the same friendly crew is there all the time. I spent a couple years on O‘ahu and got to surf Bowls several times a week. I miss it a lot. Unless, of course, when I catch Pakalas on a good day.
