A meeting for service providers for homeless veterans will be held Today at 8 a.m. at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e.
Edward Kawamura of Veterans Helping Veterans said they are seeking service organizations, barbers, dentists and others who are able to contribute their service to Kaua‘i’s homeless veterans.
“It is General Eric Shinseki’s initiative and we would like to support it,” Kawamura said in an email.
The Homeless Veterans Outreach Campaign launch is scheduled for Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center on Kapule Highway adjacent to the North Vidinha fields.
During this event, Kawamura said there will be an outreach event for Kaua‘i’s homeless veterans from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a community resource sharing event from 2 to 4 p.m.
