County replaces old forms with vehicle renewal notices

LIHU‘E — In its continuing efforts toward efficiency, the county has begun mailing vehicle renewal notices instead of the old registration renewal forms.

The change is being rolled out statewide as a cost-saving measure, a county news release states. The County of Kaua‘i is expected to save at least $6,000 per fiscal year.

Renewals can be mailed with the upper portion of the notice enclosed with a check or money order to: Motor Vehicle Registration, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 466, Lihu‘e, HI  96766.

Renewals can also be made online at www.kauai.gov.
